In this comprehensive subject, students develop a sound knowledge of established sculptors and contemporary directions while developing fundamental skills in modelling clay and plaster. The use of materials and forms are nurtured through both traditional and alternative approaches to scale, shape, rhythm and dynamic.

CUA51125 Diploma of Visual Arts


This subject is made up of two study units. Each unit runs for a 2.75-hour class session over a 12-week term. Units can be enrolled in any order or as a single unit of study if chosen. Both units complete the sculpture requirement for the CUA51125 Diploma of Visual Art and enable students to progress to the Advance Diploma.



The use of materials and forms are nurtured through both traditional and alternative approaches to scale, shape, rhythm and dynamic. Students develop a sound knowledge of sculpture practice and ideas as well as contemporary tendencies in sculpture today.
