A Step By
Step Guide

The following step by step guide to application has been created to make the application as efficient and enjoyable as possible.

Step 1: Commit to study

Established in 1995, LCAD is a small, friendly college leading the way in professional Visual Art, Design and Photography education. We offer a specialised combination of theory and practical skills that encourage our students to be creative, innovative and to think independently. Our teaching and administration staff enhance the learning experience and our students are both friendly and welcoming. Our class sizes are between 8 and 14 students enabling a high level of one on one tutoring as well as generating a great sense of community. We offer excellent value for money with our high calibre of teaching staff and our student’s graduate with confidence to embark on a career in art and design.

Step 2: Visit LCAD

If practical, all prospective students are welcome to visit the college in order to view our facilities and to discuss their forthcoming application. If you would like to visit you will need to make an appointment by calling LCAD direct on +613 9495 6622. We recommend that you bring along a folio or examples of your work to your appointment so that we can determine which course might be the best for you.

Step 3: Select your course

If you are unable to visit LCAD then no problem, simply select your course online. LCAD offers a number of Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses in Visual Art, Graphic Design, Game Art and Animation, and Photography. All of our courses (and single subjects) are available from our main menu under the 'Study with Us' main menu item.

Step 4: Review your status

If your are an international student there will be a number of additional steps to your application process along side the submission of a folio of work. Once you have completed your online application, LCAD will follow up with you and provide you with an Information Kit. Please note that all international students will require a 5.5 IELTS test score for English or equivalent if English is their second language. After satisfying all the prerequisites and successfully completing an admission interview, LCAD will then issue you with a Letter Of Offer. Once you accept our offer (and make your first payment/deposit) LCAD will then issue a COE which you will need in order to apply for a study visa to Australia.

Step 5: Prepare

In order to make the application process as efficient as possible we recommend the you prepare and review your application information prior to starting the application process.
